BREAKING: Guy Gentile – INNOCENT- Federal Indictment dismissed
Today, Jose Linares, United States District Court Judge, Newark, New Jersey dismissed the Federal Indictment brought against Guy Gentile in March 2016 by the Newark United States Department of Justice (DOJ),
In reality, the US Government arrested him “for his rolodex” and bullied him into cooperation, compelling him to believe he did not have a choice in the matter. Gentile believed that his only option was to cooperate: the government threatened to go after his family, friends and employees, shut down his businesses and, more importantly, freeze his bank accounts so he couldn’t defend himself. If he did not cooperate, the government would have completely destroyed him and those around him.
After three years of exemplary cooperation which brought the NJ DOJ convictions like never before, the government did an about face and charged Gentile again in March 2016 when he informed them he would no longer cooperate and to let him go, free, as agreed. Due to his compelled cooperation, the aftermath of his position with the DOJ and FBI caused severe damage: his loss of life long friends and the divorce of his wife whom he loved dearly; loss of employees and businesses; he lost his position in volunteer services and had over 10 banking relationships terminated which severely and negatively impacted his life & businesses in addition to the cost of millions of dollars defending himself. Even having endured what amounted to an involuntary servitude, Gentile never said why him? He held his head high because he knew he was not guilty of the charges and did everything he could to continue to live his life and tried to stay strong for the people who loved him and believed in him.
Statement of Thanks and Appreciation from Guy Gentile:
It has been a grueling few years as I’ve battled to clear my name and often, in my lowest points, it’s been the love and support of the very many wonderful friends, (some of whom I’ve not heard
from in years!) and the stalwart advocates of justice who have rallied me when I needed it most. Thank you so much to my family, friends, loyal staff, colleagues, business associates and the
readers who follow me on social media including this web site. Your sentiments and encouraging shout-outs have meant a lot to me, perhaps more that you’ll ever really
understand. This has been tough, and reading your words such as, “keep the faith” and “stay strong” have motivated and compelled me to carry on and to finally reach this day of triumph.
Also of course, I want to acknowledge the skill-sets, consistent hard work and efforts beyond the pale of my legal team of Joseph Tacopina & Chad Seigle of Tacopina & Seigle, PC, and Adam
C. Ford of Ford O’Brian LLP. Thank you so much legal team!I also want to thank my friend and excellent personal attorney Carla Marin, who gave me the strength to stand up fight the all mighty U.S. Government. You never wavered in your belief in me or that justice would prevail and we’d win the day!
Emmett, really how much Guy Gentile paying you? You write some garbage on your site. You and your moron small bunch of followers think the whole world is just corrupt, come on really what gives a crook like you the right to write stuff about others when your no better yourself ? Just give one reason why !?
The article was republished content from Guy Gentile’s website. It was obviously biased in favor of Guy. I found it ironic and amusing. “Guy Gentile is found innocent!”, didn’t you find that laughable?
As far as listening to me, you should not listen to me. You should come to your own conclusions. The vast majority of trading websites are scams, and I obviously take the opposing argument. But it’s just my opinion, and probably not any more valid than your opinion.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. Hope to read more of your opinions.
is suretrader still up and running? i was going to sign up with them but it seems like none of their customer service staff are replying to my emails or tickets. i also noticed that their reviews have gone missing on investimonials and they haven’t posted anything on twitter in a while. anyone know if something is going on?
Looks OK to me. I am 110% certain that Guy Gentile will be having no more problems with law enforcement or securities regulators. What the dude went through is a strong deterrent towards committing any additional ‘shady’ activities.
must of just been their infamous bad customer service. i was going to deposit with them but they took so long to respond. starting to look at tradezero as they seem quite comparable and already have responded to me.
Guy Gentile got caught stealing millions of dollars from small penny investors, people that were not in a position to defend themselves. He admitted it within five minutes of being grabbed by the FBI. He then cooperated for a couple of years. Gentile was in no position to make demands, after stealing $17 million. You agree to cooperate then hope and pray for the best. Gentile admitted his scams to the SEC and re-paid the money he stole, along with fines. The only issue here is the Feds say they had 6 years to prosecute and Gentile’s lawyer claims they had only 5 years. Other than that, he’s guilty.
You hit it right on the head.
Sometimes we get lucky and win the lottery. Guy Gentile got really, really lucky. 99.99% of us don’t. I sure didn’t. I thought for sure he would plead to a single count and get 4 months. Hey, he got lucky.
But he also provided a lot of useful info to the Feds.
and suretrader seems to still exist – so he got to keep his business too…
Just a side note. I recently got a spam email from thetradingzone with the hosts GaryWeitzman and Larry “Gator”. So I re-read thetradingzone review where Emmett has a couple of good informative paragraphs refuting the bs claim that showing trading performance results is “illegal” and also how Emmett was a cooperating witness with the CFTC. It’s under “Who is Greg Weitzman?”
http://www.tradingschools.org/reviews/the-trading-zone/
It also reinforces my belief that sham vendor sites that show the “hypothetical” disclaimer have pretty much been on sim for the years of their shamshow site’s existence.
So this update is reporting Gentile is innocent and exonerated of the 17 million stock fraud charges along with “two co-conspirators Itamar Cohen and Mike Taxon.”?
http://www.tradingschools.org/reviews/sure-trader-guy-gentile/
Hard to believe. If he’s actually guilty he was complying and “battling” not to serve time rather than “clear his name” because there was nothing to clear having been caught. Sure it was a rigormarole but I doubt a typical losing retailer in credit card debt or losses from stock fraud working two min wage jobs would think of it much more than he was lucky he didn’t end up decades in jail like those examples on “American Greed” convicted of securities fraud.
The ‘update’ isn’t really an update. Laughably, it’s just a propaganda piece that Guy pumped out there.
The truth is that everyone involved in the case either went to prison or admitted guilt to the SEC and the FBI. The only person that avoided Federal Prison was Guy Gentile. Adam Gottbetter was released from prison only a few weeks ago, he is currently in a halfway house.
Guy certainly did not escape unscathed. He “settled in principle” with the SEC regarding the fraud. Which I am sure cost him a huge amount of money. Guy also openly admitted to the FBI that he committed the fraud, and agreed to provide “extraordinary assistance” to the Feds in exchange to have his own charges dropped. Of course, the US Attorney Paul Fishman attempted to screw Gentile in the end. Fishman charged Guy with a single count of securities fraud. Gentile rolled the dice and got his case dismissed on a technicality.
Its also important to note that Guy suffered massive personal embarrassment, public humiliation, an article written by me (which is never a good thing), probably massive attorney fee’s, and years of stress and anguish. Am I defending him? Yes and No. He is a douche bag. The people that have known him the longest generally have nothing nice to say about him. But hey, the dude is a gunslinger and he survived a close call. Everyone around him went to jail, and he was the only one to wiggle out.
Thanks for the further info. I was completely in the dark about what happened with the case. So at least a few of his fraud gang got some punishment. His bragging quoted statement even in the context to thanking his legal team, just makes me feel less sympathetic even though I agree it was an amazing feat how he somehow weaseled his way out. Even Martha Stewart went to jail for a few months for far less.
Yes, the clue to article’s sarcasm is “INNOCENT.”
Nobody is ruled innocent.
The “innocence” declaration is a figment of Guy Gentile’s warped imagination. He pretends to be a firefighter even though he has never fought a single fire, claims to be a law enforcement officer despite the fact that any badge he may possess is possessed illegally, he joined the Army then decided that even though he was under contract, that he really didn’t have to report for boot camp. Guy Gentile is a LOSER and a SCAM ARTIST. You would do well in avoiding him and anyone he supports.
Mr. Moore,
You are accurate in your assessment that what Gentile is putting out is his own propaganda rather than “update”. Guy Gentile is one of the most prolific scam artists and liars that one can ever come across in a lifetime. I have learned that to Gentile, everything is a scam, every thing on every level. Instead of working hard for something, he tries to buy it and scam for it, and when he doesn’t get his way, he threatens people like the tough guy that he’s not. Even in this case, he pretends to have evidence and tapes on the FBI, as if they were supposed to be scared. They obviously laughed him off.
The only matter the judge ruled on was statute of limitations, not innocence. The case against Gentile was so strong that he agreed to become a RAT while on his way to the car, on it’s way to the FBI office. Gentile collapsed in record time. What he did in actuality is to send other people to prison to do HIS time. He’s a very weak, lowlife scam artist. He claims his marriage fell apart because of this. Liar again. His marriage fell apart because Guy Gentile continually engaged in domestic violence. FOIL the 911 calls to his house from the NY State Police, and how many times his wife called the police on him because Guy was beating her. She recently called the dog pound because she said that her husband was under investigation by the State Police for domestic violence, and whenever Gentile is under investigation he takes off (which is why the FBI handcuffed him off a plane that night before he fled the jurisdiction), and Guy not only abandoned his wife and kids but also his dogs, and she could not take care of them. This is the type of person you’re dealing with in Guy Gentile. Nobody in Putnam County NY wants him back, him and his scams and his duplicated, illegal police badges, pretending to be a police officer, thowing his stolen money all around town. The amount of scams Gentile tried to pull in Putnam County are staggering.
Also Mr. Moore, Gentile “survived” nothing. He lied repeatedly in his court papers, claiming the FBI told him they could make his charges disappear in return for cooperation. Not in a million years did any FBI agent tell him that. Let me tell you something. When you are caught red-handed in a $17.2 million stock fraud, with a paper trail 500 miles long, you are in NO position to sit there with the FBI and negotiate ANYTHING. Guy Gentile would have people believe that, for TWO YEARS, TWO YEARS, he worked for the FBI as a rat without a single guarantee in writing. What a loser. And what a liar. Since the judge dismissed with “without prejudice”, it’s my hope that the US Attorney appeals this decision to a higher court.
Emmett you are a moron
Yes, you are correct. Very correct. What Gentile was looking to prevent was jail time, not “proving innocence”. He already pleaded and admitted his $17.2 million scam to the SEC, which still stands.
Yikes! That’s how they treat a cooperating witness.
A “cooperating witness” Gentile was NOT. Gentile was caught in a $17.2 million stock fraud, and rather than fight and prove his innocence, he immediately became a rat and positioned his two co-conspirators to serve HIS time. Ask Guy Gentile how many times the New York State Police have been called to his home because of domestic violence. I guess that was all a misunderstanding too. Guy Gentile is a liar and a fraud. Him and his silly, unearned, illegally possessed police badges that are nothing more than duplicates.
