Summary
If you like zero transparency, then the Futures Trading Coach is the live day trading room for you. For only $6,997 and $347 each month, you can watch a person trade that has no verifiable track record. The trading room has no transparency, no trading from the DOM, no trading from the charts, no account statements to verify trading. In addition to zero transparency, we caught them consistently publishing fake trading records on YouTube videos. Avoid.

Thanks for reading today’s review of Futures Trading Coach.com
What is Futures Trading Coach? Futures Trading Coach is a live day trading room that is moderated by Rick Mazur, the cost of the live day trading room is $247 for the first month, and $347 for each month thereafter. In addition to the live day trading room, there is a full mentoring program with a start up fee of $6,997 with an additional monthly fee of $347 per month. The mentoring program is taught by Sam Goldberg.
A quick review of the website reveals the following statements from the owner, Mr Sam Goldberg. “We win on 8/10 trades, and the reason we win is because we do the opposite of 95% of all traders”. On first blush, this sure sounds exciting. Who doesn’t want to win on 80% of all trades, and do the opposite of 95% of all traders? Some of you might not believe that the owner of Futures Trading Coach would come right out and make such a bold statement. So I recorded him saying it…
Ok, so if you watched this short little video, the owner of the company Mr. Sam Goldberg clearly states that he wins on 80% of his trades. This sounds great, and it should be easy to verify, right? Next, Mr. Goldberg states that the reason why his methodology is so successful is because he does the opposite of 95% of traders. Ok, wonderful. But how do you measure this Mr. Goldberg? Do you have a special program that performs some calculation or function that gives you this information? If so, then sign me up! I am ready to send over my payment for the full mentorship program fee of $6,997. OK, so now that we established a baseline for how this review is going to go, lets move forward.
Who is Rick Mazur and Sam Goldberg? I have no clue. After reading each and every page of their website, there is absolutely no background information on either of these characters. Rick Mazur has nothing written whatsoever, and Sam Goldberg has only this massively long squeeze page that talks about how he his a full time professional trader and that he is a super awesome trader, etc. And then he has this long, winding, non stop section of supposed happy customer testimonials. Its all fantasy and hyped up nonsense. I especially like how he signs off with the following…
As a general rule of thumb, when someone signs their name with a P.S., and then adds a P.P.S., and then adds yet another P.P.P.S., then this person is real douche bag trying to sell you a crap sandwich. And Mr. Sam Goldberg continues with this fine tradition of douche baggery. Lets continue.
The Live Trading Room
The live trading room is moderated daily by Rick Mazur. The trading room typical opens at 6:30 AM, PST and usually lasts about 90 minutes. On October 1st, 2015 we signed up for a free trial of the live trading room. Each day we recorded everything that happened inside of the trading room. We wrapped up recording on October 13, 2015. In total, we collected 7 days of live market coverage with a total of about 14 hours of live footage. The entire time, the room was moderated by Rick Mazur.
At no time did we witness a live trading DOM, nor did we witness any trading from the charts. All of the trades were called out over the microphone. On day number one we noticed fantasy trades. What is a fantasy trade? This is where Rick would suggest an entry at a certain price, there would only be a quick cursory mention and then he would go about talking about something else. This created a lot of confusion because nothing was marked on the screen. No DOM, or trading on the charts etc. Considering that he is using Ninja Trader and is one of their most highly recommended educators, I was expecting that Rick could of at least placed a demo DOM on the chart. But he refused, apparently he likes to keep things confusing and hard to track.
As each of the trades evolved, I felt more and irritated. He would say things like “OK lets get a point or a point and a half here”. Which is it Rick? Is is a point or is it a point and a half? And he never once mentioned stops, I guess we were supposed to already know that each trade had a fixed stop?
To Rick’s credit, he would very often say that he did not get filled on a limit order trade. However, he would talk into the microphone and congratulate random people that claimed that they got filled. It sounded all too pre-scripted and I really wondered if Rick wasn’t simply making up these fantasy people, in order to claim that some of the viewers got filled.
At the end of the trading sessions, I asked for a screen shot of Rick’s filled trades. He refused. I also asked for an account statement to prove that these trades were actually filled. Once again, no response. However, Rick referred me to his YouTube channel where he goes over the days trades. Rick says that the YouTube channel is accurate and all trades are clearly shown in is wrap up video.
Apparently, the only way to build a track record for these guys is to watch YouTube videos. Which I did. What did I discover? The YouTube videos are pure BS. Everyday, Rick pushed out a video on YouTube and everyday, we would go back and match the YouTube video with our own camtasia recordings. We have proof that these buffoons are just another couple of trading hustlers. Lets got ahead and watch the videos.
Video 1: The Mystery Trade That Never Happened
In the following video, you can clearly watch and listen to Rick Mazur call a short trade on a limit order. The trade did not get filled, and Rick clearly states that the trade did not happen. Watch the clip.
http://moore-emmett.wistia.com/medias/fgxgd1s6yr?embedType=iframe&videoWidth=640
Ok, so if you watched this short video, the trade obviously did not happen. However, the next day, Rick published an update video of the prior day trading room performance.
Now watch how slick Rick takes credit for the prior day’s trade, claiming that he got 1.5 points.
Day after day, we witnessed this type of trading. Where Rick would call out a price on a limit order, then claim that a random person in the room got their price. If the trade was a winner, then Rick would publish a video highlighting that “winning trade”. It was pure smoke and mirrors. And he does it in such a subtle way that we had to record a lot of video to catch the repetitive nature of Rick’s confidence game.
After watching him trade for several days, and then re-watching the video, and then watching the nightly recaps of the trades, the whole smoke show really pissed me off. I have to give him credit, he doesnt just come right out and start screaming that he got another winner, he does it in a very slight manner, sort of like a street magician. The trade calling is very nebulus and since there is no trading DOM, or trading from the charts, then whom can say what is really happening? And since there is no spreadsheet of the trades, then its difficult to pinpoint the fraud.
The only way we were able to conclusively catch the fraud was to slowly and meticulously watch the replay of each and every trade. Then we had to wait a day for the recap video to be released. Then we had to go back and match the recap video with the trades that we were able to clearly identify. This review took a lot of time and effort because it required a very meticulous and thorough investigation. At the end of collecting the evidence, I couldn’t wait to get this review written and published. Not because I had found some huge fraud, but because it genuinely required a lot of time and effort to document how they are scamming people.
Wrapping Things Up
Rick Mazur and Sam Goldberg, you will read this review, and its going to piss you off. You will cry foul and threaten to sue and proclaim that you are both awesome traders…but the truth is that both of you are frauds. Scammers. Neither of you has a verifiable trading record. If you do, then I would love to see it. In fact, nothing would make me happier than to come back and write a new review on how I got this one totally wrong. But I am supremely confident in stating the both of your are completely full of crap. Prove me wrong!
Thanks for reading today’s review. This one was especially irritating. Usually the fraud is easy to catch, but this one required a toothpick and a pair of tweezers. Thankfully its over. Don’t forget to leave your comments below. Even the trolls and haters will find that their voices are heard.
@ Barbara Footer
Barbara – are you trying to say that he has never as yet started shouting “take the profits off the table” when you know perfectly well that the entry was never even touched but the trade then went the right way? A trade without an entry? You would very much need to see his trading screen then.
Give it a few months and see how you feel when he does it. As he is bound to. And by all means keep us updated on your trading success. Preferably with live statements showing “95% win rate”

@ Barbara, You’ve been in his room for 2 months and you still have not learned his method?

Sam's method works
Wow! I’ve read about 1/2 the comments and can’t believe the negativity.
Sam’s room is the best I’ve been in of about 100!!
I’ve been in the room 2 months, and he has about 95% win rate.
You don’t need to watch his dom or see his list of trades.
Just follow the trades, live or sim, and you will see the results for yourself.
He calls out the entry, in advance, walks you thru the trade, and suggests targets. I don’t see how anyone could do better. I’m definitely looking forward to Sam teaching me the method. It works! He is the real deal.

You can find better and cheaper successful programs. Rick and Sam always talking some BS about how nobody does else out there doing what they do. WRONG. I know others who payed less than the $9,000 i paid and $347 a month for two years in the room. Rick claims theyll teach you and go over this, that and the other. Sam doesn’t go over what Rick claims he will and Sam only wants to teach the advanced trader. At the same time, they’ll claim they want to help so much but that is BS. I’m no better of a trade now than when I started with them. I’ve learned more from outside sources, whose risk in trades are far less and they get more ticks than Rick and Sam. If I had could do it all over again, I wouldnt have got sucked in. I blew out a couple accounts.

not good as i thought after trying it for 10 days. i heard there are over 60 people in the trading room but im sure they had over 1000 trial members past 8 years so now i kind of understand why they didn’t continue. Rick said 15% of the time you add more contracts but it i added 30 to 40% i add more contracts so it would be scary if i was trading with real money. i was trying to break even after i add but i got full stop out many times. He just won’t tell people when to get out after you add. Youtube video reviews are not 100% correct .
i learned their method and mythology is all about swing break when stochastic is above zero then its buy mode and they do use indicator like MACD and Fibonnaci. They use all kinds of multiple time frame as well. Winning percentage is not good unless you double your contract when market go against you and you have to get out break even if you are lucky. Rick never post loosing trades because he thinks its not a official trade call. Lot of time he says “its little aggressive but you can try take it” and if that trade win he will post on Youtube but if its bad then he won’t mention it on youtube.
To “former student”: What a load of cobblers. You could be Sam himself for all we know. No evidence or proof from you or him. Just a rant on how great you both are. So full of general trading wisdom. Why dont you get a job as a trading psychologist? Dont worry noone will ask for proof that you can trade. I have given this guy Sam Goldberg a lot of money for nothing and I want to sue too.
To “lets sue” : I have only just come accross your post from September 18. I will contact yoh shortly.
nadina@ doctors.org.uk
Hi Nadina, sorry to hear you got taken by this site too. Agreed, “former student” is probably “Sam” or “Rick” , or one of their friend or family actors in the trading room like many of these shamshow rooms do. This shill post and the other shills on the top of these comments are probably themselves again, despicable. It seems the more bold ones or also former felons like Amico come out more in the comments to bs and excuse more, but end up doing the same thing again a few years later on their new site. (or psycho clowns like Ken Klownfool who try to pretend they don’t have a history of scamming and more past scam sites than “renegade” Mark Deaton, one the longest series of repeated “farts lost in the wind” ever, now trying to be like DavidAdams trying to ingratiate themselves into the comments simultaneously spam ading their worthless stool products like they already do on elitetrader; they are some of the worst) , I came across their site where now they want personal info and phone number etc. just for a trial. Thankfully this review and Emmett’s research helped me stop from even signing up for a trial. And shamefully, I had been taken before by a similar site that is now gone “like a fart in the wind”. But they did almost the exact same things. And the front page of the site just looks too appealing to newbs. I suggest tradingschools should have an easy to see list view of all the reviews kind of what ninaecocess used to do. Except showing the name of the sham, and how many stars, and number of comments as a link to them.
As a former student of Sam, I need to say something in Sam’s defense and other mentors’ defense.
To Emmett: Emmett every thing that I write here is the truth. Being honest is at my core beliefs. I understand that you take all posts seriously and that you also expect evidence in return for validity. I was enrolled in Sam’s Room and paid. I can send you documents which will show this. Similar to Amazon’s Reviewers, (Verified Purchase). I am writing all of this, only on your site, and once, because you have a broader audience, different from Big Mike, and lastly, because I like my privacy. I have read about your personal experience of being a trader on your site, which was fascinating. I also understand, why you do what you do.
To Everyone: Becoming and remaining a Trader is the hardest and the most complex profession out there. It is rewarding and it will transform you. The process and the journey will change your life. Take a moment and think hard… Why did you chose this? You already know. You are different than the rest. You had a calling and you wanted to take that leap, because you are confident, you believe in yourself, and you don’t give up until you reach your goal. Not everyone comes here, or stays here, as you might have discovered.
Hey, you know what’s harder than trading successfully? Teaching others how to trade successfully. Think about it. Explaining ‘something’ to another person, that thinks completely different from you is easy, right? Do your friends understand what you do when you tell them you trade? How about your family? Can you explain how you made money, being Short, when the market crashed? Do they understand you? … Remember…, we are here because we are different, but ‘we’, as traders, do have a common language, character, and personality. We can all agree that learning to trade is a time consuming ordeal, that demands many sacrifices, and there are no short-cuts. Trading to make a living is even harder, not to mention extremely unforgiving. So now, think about all those mentors, that are trying to convey, to you, to the best of their abilities, what works for them, so that you can be successful as well; you, who is completely different and unique, and may have a completely different, yet correct, understanding of how Shorting the market works. Crazy right?
Your trading career is like a jigsaw puzzle. Every one of us has a different number of pieces to their end product. Some puzzles are 4 pieces, other puzzles are 400 pieces. Some mentors fill in all the pieces, some puzzles require many mentors. Some mentors choose to teach for a price, some mentors choose to tax monthly, some leave you the choice. What do you want? What works for you? Where do you want to go? Do you want to be a trader or just mimic others and not have a clue what happened. What do you want? … Now, how do you select a mentor or a method? Simple. Ask questions. Ask many questions and listen. What resonates with you? What are you missing? What pieces do you still need? The mentors today are just trying to pass the torch and bridge the divide. Nothing has changed. Its all there, all the clues, ask and connect the dots. You will find what you are looking for. … So, keep on going, if you really want this. It’s completely attainable, and you know it. And remember why you are here, because nothing in life that’s easy, is worthwhile.
To Sam: Sam, thank you for everything. I truly mean it. I understand what you were doing, now. You filled in many pieces, others I had to fill in myself, and with the help of books, websites, and other people. I’m sorry for blaming you for my own faults. I finally have my house in order. I hope you are content, and all is well, and I hope that people find this, and even if they don’t… Hey, like you said, “Everyone is where they want to be.” I know you are. I am. btw hb
Thanks for sharing.
You took a lot of time to write this. Which really means something. Well thought out.
I always try and give my best opinion, based upon whatever facts I can gather. But at the end of the day…its just my opinion.
Your opinion means something too.
I have been a callroom client and in the mentoring room. I wasted over 10k. I’m embarrassed and have to deal with my spouse bringing it up all the time. The results published on the recap videos are lies, the winning percentages are lies, everything is a lie.
I started in the call room and I lost money. I would send them my charts and I was told “you did this wrong, you didn’t get out fast enough, you got greedy” and they would use that as a chance to say “if you knew the system you would have done better. You would have known how long to stay…” so like an idiot I joined the mentoring room. More losses followed. I had to pay the monthly fee after I paid the mentoring fee which seemed like bullshit but they already had my money (you have to wire it to them). I have tried everything they have suggested or taught and I was still a 50% trader at best.
They got me, don’t let them get you. They prey on your want to be successful and then when you aren’t successful they chastise you. There is nothing proprietary either, they have you download other peoples indicators. I moved on and found a company that shows results (Futures Trading Coach will not show you their results). If I could go back in time I would have seen the red flags like No actual statement posted proving their claims, I would have done more research on Sam and Rick…… I am pretty sure I have found Ricks actual name (screen shot from a video I recorded, I got lucky) as I believe Richard Mazur is an alias.
I have spent some money talking to an attorney and the SEC. The SEC said I would probably be better off suing and then bringing the evidence found during discovery to them for legal action. My attorney thinks its worth a shot. Please tell us your story at:
sueftc@yahoo.com
If you have any video or audio of phantom calls, Sam speaking his BS, them giving winning percentages (SEC is most interested in these) please forward. I have a 100 or so examples but the more we have the better.
Thank you
Hi “Lets Sue”
Really sorry to read your story. You should definitely file a complaint. However, the SEC is the wrong path. Instead, you should file a complaint with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
The exact form that you should complete is located at the following link:
https://forms.cftc.gov/Forms/TipsAndComplaints.aspx
The CFTC will definitely answer your complaint. If they do not answer within two weeks, then please send me an email at emmett@tradingschools.org. I will start pestering.
Lately, the CFTC is getting more aggressive with registration violations. These guys should be registered as a CTA or Commodity Trading Advisor. Your documented complaint will start the wheels moving.
Hi Emmett,
I should have stated that we started with the CFTC and they advised us to also contact the SEC about certain things we were claiming. They each handle specific parts of different complaints and the videos I am hoping for are more towards the SEC part but, the CFTC gave us great advice and direction as well. The more people I can have corroborate our position the easier it will be for them and the more likely they will proceed with an “aggressive” investigation.
Thank you your forum
I submitted a complaint too.
I also took a trial of this scam con artist at work. Speaks vague nonsense, says he got filled out of the blue without warning (hope you did too!), claims a profit and you had no chance to do or understand anything. It’s a joke, a con, a scam. This guy is a fraud.
I have been a member of this room…. complete Bullshit. Moderator wont shut the fuck up about non sense, makes very vague calls and then says things like “it could go up or it could go down” “be careful with this trade” or my favorite “get out now”….. then 20 seconds later after it is going in the direction he called “start taking profits”. They will not show you results, a DOM, mark the screen, screen trade or be accountable in any way shape or form. The moderator also gets pissed off when you questions him and threatens you.
The wrap up videos will say “I called a short in the CL at 52.50 and it was a 38 tick winner’ What the wrap up video doesn’t tell you is the call actually went something like this “If the candle closes red here you could go short around 52.50” candle then closes and you hear “alright be careful here, it could go up from here too, if you are nervous about this trade get out, it should go down but you never know…. The moderator creates doubt with every trade, he covers his bases so he is never technically wrong. He say things like “be careful its near the high of the day, or this could go up or down from here, or this market has already ran a good distance it could be too tired to follow through” its all vague. There is never a case where he says “Get in Short in the Cl at 52.50 when this candle closes, set a 10 tick loss and a 10 tick target” IT NEVER HAPPENS. They take credit for the entire run of a direction even though they told you to get out.
The moderator does many things that make you want to tie a rock to your neck and jump off a cruise ship. His non stop talking about stuff he has no real grasp of, singing and non stop coughing, snorting, voice clearing…. he is a hot fucking mess of a dumpster fire. Sitting though that for 2 hours they should have to pay me 300.00 per month.
I have been a member of a few rooms…… this was the absolute worse one and the most expensive.
Snorting for sure! It is a hot mess of a room indeed. Pure mish-mash wishy wash. Your review is spot on & probably the best review of this room I have ever seen.
My favorite is ‘get out’ and ‘if you are nervous get out’ etc…
Wow, I like this site and dont like it all at the same time. Let me explain. While this review from the site owner could not be more wrong (at least now i see the initial review was over 2 years ago), I am glad i saw it. I also like how he allows comments. If it were not for the positive comments i never would have given futures trading coach a chance. I went to the trial and got to see 25 hours of trades for completely free during the trial. It is 10 days now. I saw the moderator call over 40 trades with one maybe two losing trades and it was amazing. I promptly signed up. This is the real deal and one other said. So thank you very much like i said. I do not agree with the site review but maybe it was just a bad time when the review was done and it was over 3 years ago so maybe things changed. I honestly dont know. It did take me a good 2-3 days to get in swing with how the trades were called and stuff but i am moving forward and not looking back. I have been trying to trade for almost 8 years and have been in dozens of rooms and nothing compares. Speaking of POS scam artists…I think Emmett takes the cake. Nice Job Emmett on this rave review of just how trustworthy and honest your endorsements are…who’d listen to a fraudulent con artist such as yourself…just idiots who can’t think for themselves.

I heard that!
Guys, I am not here to speak for either Sam nor Rick! I took the 5 day trial about a year ago. Joined in with the method 2 month later. Trading ever since. This is not for everybody. Stop whining! Start learning!
Rick and Sam are two very unusual guys, they are not easy to like. But I don’t need to. I liked what is saw and that was enough for me.
Do you believe anybody will give you his/her experience for free. NOT! Don’t join with them if it’s not to your liking. Go elsewhere to learn, they have enough students as it is. 🙂
And I won’t share anything! Why? Because I don’t need to.
Happy trading!
I joined with Sam a few years ago and found him to be honest and trustworthy. His method is solid and works most of the time like he says. It did seem odd that he did not show his trades and I questioned him and Rick about that. “Where’s the proof” ? Can I see a trade log…a DOM… anything ?
I can see where people would be suspect about Sam because of that but I’m sure he has his reasons.
They said it shouldn’t matter…just trade the method. I definitely got frustrated with that but pressed on with the room. I was with him for about a year on and off. Went to Rick’s room then back with Sam.
I remember him saying that it takes about four years to really get control of my emotions and to be discipline with my trades. He’s so right about that. After the 1st year I couldn’t see myself paying the monthly fee for three more years so I figured I’d do the rest on my own. And knowing that I didn’t depend on trading for my income…that will come later.
You have to be so patient with this business or you will be sorry ! He is also right about him making you the best trader -YOU- can be.
I have no regrets about signing up with him or leaving after one year. I am stubborn about doing things on my own and I just needed someone to get me started. Sam was it.
This reminds me of Larry Levin’s tirade of fake testimonials on trade2win. There were like a hundred people obviously made up posters by their sales team saying they improved their trading. http://www.trade2win.com/boards/educational-resources/54572-larry-levin-secrets-traders-4.html#post1056622 As you can see, more people continued to fall for this scam because they didn’t catch this review. https://futures.io/vendors-product-reviews/33765-sam-goldberg-futurestradingcoach-com.html ; How much money are dupes going to lose paying 3k to 6k for various “mentors” and hundreds per month on expensive rooms before they wake up from the dream-inducing kool-aid of these scams?
I am definitely NOT part of Sam’s sales team. And haven’t been in touch with him since…only to wish him a happy birthday.
But as I put in more and more screen time trading, I am realizing that it is possible to succeed at this. It is unfortunate that the people interested in trading end up seeking out a mentor because they become frustrated and impatient and end up forking over 3k to 6k. When all they have to do is find they’re own method, how ever long it takes.
These mentors know that most people want to be making money in one to three months when it takes years to learn ANY trade. That’s how they are preying on the dupes as you put it.
I would advise anyone who wants to join a mentor…if you are counting on trading to be your sole source of income out of the gate….forget it !!
Trade on SIM in the morning before you go to your real job. Do that until you find YOUR method . Dip your toe in with real money you can afford to lose. I used some of Sam’s method and added a lot of my own. I now realize I could have just found it all on my own but as I said in the post earlier…I don’t regret signing up (with money I could afford to lose)because It helped me continue my quest to have a second career after I retire from machining.
There is a lot of Kool -Aid out there. Do this on your own !! Take your time. And then take some more.
Yes, trading is difficult and you better be prepared to spend a lot and I mean a lot of time to be successful. This is a full time job Plus.
But I have to comment on this remark, because most trading rooms are teaching complete non sense and it does not matter if you study 10 hours or you spend 100,000 hours, you will never be able to trade the methods they teach profitably and that is the problem.
And worst they and their shills will tell you, you just need to spend a little more time. This has 2 effects. First, it makes you think the fault is not that the TR educator is teaching complete nonsense, but it is your fault therefore you continue to spend money on the TR’s nonsense teaching and do not post negative feedback. Some TR are so bold as to sell you one course and then say the reason you are not successful is you have not taken their advance course. So the basic course you took is a joke, but now you are suppose to pay more for the advance course. BTW that is a true story from a trading educator.
The more I write and remember about past experience with some of the these educators the angrier I get.
And BTW I just Skyped with a trader I had not talked to in a long time and he was depressed about how he just could not trade profitable as his educator taught. And I assured him the problem was not with him and to get that educator to show any real proof, I am talking brokerage statements, that they can even trade the non sense method they teach profitably.
This whole industry is one big con game.
They also can cover they’re butts by asking the struggling trader to “send me your trades and we can go over them” They say…we’ll I told you..it doesn’t work all the time. Only 75 to 80 percent of the time.
You would have had to pull the trigger on every qualified set up. VERY difficult to do when you’ve just lost .Very common that the first year goes like this. By that time they have your sign up fee and a years worth of monthly fees. And you feel like a failure and your still not profitable like you thought you’d be by now. So you bail.
That’s why 93 percent fail in the first six months let alone one year. ALL of these mentors know this.
It’s very difficult to follow along in a trading room. You can’t have any distractions when you trade. That’s why they don’t show you they’re REAL trading chart or DOM because they’re not trading if they are talking and answering comments from other traders.
Trade alone…with the door closed !
Good points. And I tend to think it’s even more fraudulent how these trading room hosts perpetrate. I think they don’t even have a live account, maybe haven’t had one for years or as long as they had the trading room. I was in a room for a month where I mentioned in the chat room of which I seemed to be the only real member , that “luckily it was sim”. The host misunderstood me and quickly reacted “yes i’ts all sim!, but…” , where I had actually meant luckily I had been on sim following their calls in the room so far. What a scam.
On the subject of SIM trading….look how well we ALL do in SIM…it’s no wonder that they don’t trade their live account while they’re running the rooms.
I just wanted to post my experience with Sam and Rick since I have been in contact with them for over 2 years now.
First of all they are not scammers, they are the real deal. I have spent many months in Ricks room taking his calls and they are definitely right at least 80% of the time. I have my own logging business so I am not able to consistently trade since I am out in the woods most days. When things get slow though, I try to get back in the room. Rick has always been very helpful with my questions. Anyone who takes the free 5 day trial will be able to see that they have a winning method.
I also went ahead and paid for the mentoring with Sam. He spent around 5 or 6 hours with me on the phone to teach me the method. Unfortunately I was not able to stay in his mentoring room, again because of my business (I have contractual obligations) so I have put the learning on hold for now until I can step away from my company. Sam’s method works, there is no denying it.
I was in the trial room with Rick on Friday 8th January 2016. At first I thought it was bogus. It seemed like I was the only one there but he kept talking to people that I can’t see nor hear. He was there talking and answering questions….making calls and cancelling them s&p 500…sniffing a lot (sounds like taking Coke)…it was long and tedious to the point where I was about to say f this. Then he made 3 calls to sell… I ignored the first two…then I entered the third one which was to sell @1936.50…he then said to take profit from first two and add at 1928…I took my profit at 1927…I didn’t add at 1928…then we said goobye at noon…he doesn’t trade afternoon… He made 3 definite calls and they were all right…the S&P 500 then went up to 1942 in the afternoon which was a resistance from what I was taught ( not by Rick I learnt nothing from him so far) and I shorted all the way 1910… I made bank all by myself and also with Rick…I don’t understand his method of making those 3 calls but they were accurate… 100%….maybe it is too early for me to make a reply but I will do a follow up on monday
Hi,
I have noticed that Rick mentioned Collective 2.
Emmet are you aware of the record there, and if so, would such a record be proof enough for you?
I will not give the link, but just pose the question.
I see a successful record, in fact the sharpe ratio was over 10 until a C2 bug caused a a drawdown of around 13 % percent I believe
jeff
Thank you so much Emmett for doing these reviews!!
I have ALWAYS wondered about Sam and his operation; Someone who makes such ridiculous statements (i.e. there is no better trading system, he does opposite of 95% traders, etc etc) is either completely clueless about trading, complete narcissist or probably both.
Rick and Sam, just post your records and show your trades already if you are so hot. All the other legit guys are doing it – why can’t you.
great work Emmett!
I see picture of Sam G with the short hair, on the thumbnail to this page, is that Rick in the upper right corner with the bouncy curly hair…he look like someone cool I could hang out and hit the bong with.

Henrich,
That is I — sure we can do that and also make lots of winning trades together 🙂
Awesome Rick, i knew that you were cool! Let’s spark one up, make some trades and get risk free!
Emmett,
I entered the trial this week and still have one more day to go. My first trade I made a mistake and got stopped out. But even counting two trades I made a mistake understanding what Rick was saying. Even with the mistake I achieved a 75% win ratio. I on 8 out of 12 with those mistakes.
Of course, I’m trading in a sim account and would gladly share. If you email me directly,
Hi Brian,
Thanks for commenting. And I glad to hear that you are getting some value from those guys. I am still hoping that Rick starts using a DOM, once he does, I will come back and hopefully have something positive to write about.
Stay in touch.
Emmett
Again, the amount of effort you put into this is greatly appreciated. I think that the icing on the cake is the fact that you have actual video evidence of the scam being pulled off — that’s something they won’t be able to dismiss.
In spite of this, I fear there will still be people who will fall for this. I’ll try to get the word out about this site, if only to save a few from that fate.
I find it amazing that when asked to show even the slightest proof to back up the 80% win ratio via broker statement they just simply vanish into thin air. I want to believe but…IF YOU CANT SHOW PROOF THEN HOW CAN POTENTIAL MEMBERS TRUST WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO SELL?
what is next the Nigerian email scammers will get into the business?
Amazing, Self-Proclaimed member after member all hitting it out of the park with 80% plus win rate; yet not one of them can show a lick of proof. Instead it is trust me and just sign up. I have been to this type of trading rooms and have seen the same smoke and mirror deception again and again to sucker in naive traders. The trader makes murky and worst hindsight calls and declares winner after winner. If the price goes up one tick and then price slams down, they say did you get that tick, when in reality anyone who took the trade was stopped out. And if it price goes up 20 ticks, they state did you get that 20 ticks. Or worst the hindsight calls such as did you get in that perfect entry at price X like I teach in the course.
And then you get the shills in the room posting things like man I had 6 contracts and got 20 ticks on each, even though it did not even move 20 ticks or worst you took the trade as he called it and lost money.
So the one thing we can hope for is now with Sheriff Emmett in town overseeing the wild wild west of trading rooms, this website will come up in the persons search and they will know the kind of games these rooms use to separate you from your hard earned money. You will know not to believe what the shills post as it is all made up. If you can not make money taking the trades called and the trader does not show any proof he is trading profitable, for goodness sake move on or you get what you deserve.
I hope that Emmett will expand so the posters can add video, like on Big Mike, and then people can take the trial; video tape the trader’s calls, take the trades in Sim the best way you can to execute the murky call and then post the real results achieved during live trading. I make a prediction, No one make the self-proclaimed 80% win rate day after day.
Emmit,
I have been a day trader since 2008. I live in Amman-Jordan and had to learn about day trading the hard way by losing lots of money. I bought books, attended webinars, joined several trading rooms…etc. I believe I have seen and experienced most of what the trading rooms had to offer, the good and bad stuff.
A good friend of mine suggested I try Sam’s room. I remember him telling me its the last stop you will make in the quest to be a better trader. Of course I was skeptical since I have heard this before. I signed up for the 7 day free trial, and after the second day in the live trading room, I knew immediately this room is different than anything I have experienced before. Sam and Rick are excellent traders and most importantly excellent teachers. I signed up and paid for the mentorship program by the end of of the trial period. I am still an active member.
I think your review is harsh and unfair. I believe the whole point of Sam’s trading room is to learn the methodology, practice it live with them and eventually grow to be a better trader. Its counter productive to sing up for the room with the aim of “follow the leader” mentality by just waiting for the trade calls.
The methodology I learned from Sam filled a huge gap in my trading knowledge and experience. It would have saved me a lot of money had I knew about the room earlier in my trading career. I will continue to be an active member is his room to see and experience how Sam applies the methodology live every trading day. Its a process as you well know.
For readers of this page, don’t take my word for it, sign up for the 7 day trial and judge for yourself.
LOL ROB.B ………YOU MADE MY DAY I WAS LAUGHING FOR DAYS……
Emmett: I’m shocked!!!! I have been in with Sam and Rick for over a year and can speak from experience. Even though I am in the Mentorship program, I frequent Rick’s room. I trade the ES exclusively and review each and every daily review Rick posts and scrutinize each trade he discusses. I have NEVER found any deviation, even a slight one- down to the tick, on a trade he called in the room for the respective day being reviewed. NEVER!!! I witness live every trade he calls and take most of them religiously. I reference the Oct 1st thru 13, the time period you indicate you were in the room, and can’t for the life of me, understand how you can make the allegations you claim. There were 46 trades which were called, 34 winners and 4 Break Evens. So winning percentage ( if one took them all which I didn’t) was 34/42 or 80.9% – we don’t count break even trades. I have been keeping daily records from the time I joined, which was Nov 2014, and spreadsheet them monthly, and have yet to witness a month with less than a 75% winning percentage, with an average of 81.5% up through Sept 30, 15 I don’t know how you are judging the program, but something is flawed in a major way. How can you, in good conscience, especially since you claim your agenda is to be a source for scrutinizing the industry by reporting on the scum, fraud and deceit within. Seems you have it in for Futures Trading Coach for some unknown reason, and therefor would very very much taint the review which it undeniably did. I see what these guys do day in and day out Emmett, and without any agenda of my own, wish to state that I have rarely found more honest and honorable gentleman than Sam and Rick. It’s truly a privilege to work with these guys, while they pledge to make each one of their members be the best traders they can be, and consistently carry that out with each trader. Never seen anyone or outfit more devoted and I’ve been around in Big Business, founded three highly successful ground-up multimillion dollar enterprises, and a military veteran (82nd Airborne) back in the Nam days. I’m 76, which also speaks volumes for these guys and the method for I am now able to make a nice living learning and implementing the methodology. Tons of guys and girls in the room can say the same. I was brand new to the industry and thereby not nearly as jaded as many others who have experienced the horrors of other unethical programs and scams, but please, Emmett, open you eyes and report the facts and give them some benefit. You claim to have been in the room, so you’ve seen first hand the daily results for yourself. Go back in, trade sim, and see the outcome you come up with based on Rick’s calls. I challenge you on that. That’s the most irrefutable truth you’ll ever get. Spend another week with him. Isn’t that better proof that seeing any document (s) or unaudited charts or statements folks are willing to pass on to you. Additionally, I personally would never dignify your challenge of sending you anything, strictly because of your hateful, malicious and out of control irresponsible reporting, which was truly SHOCKING! I can see the need for this type of site, and the crux of your mission, but why not consider becoming true professionals in you reviews, while trying to bring something positive to the industry by changing your approach,
Hi Dan,
The videos that I recorded clearly caught Rick lying. And that video is only one trade. I have more. A lot more. If a video is not enough evidence, then I don’t know what is.
As the purchaser of the $7,000 mentor program, aren’t just a little bit curious if these guys even trade? Just ask them, say to them…”hey guys, mind if I take a quick look at your account statements that prove you made those trades in question?”. I mean really, aren’t you just a little bit curious?
And its sort of sad that they had to get folks like yourself vouch for them. If they are such awesome traders, then why not just prove it…AND SHUT ME UP. I want to be shut up, I would love for nothing more than to be humiliated and have to redraft a new review.
Ask them Dan! Just ask them. And I have a very honest question for you Dan, if you later come to find out that these guys dont even trade, then what would you say to them?
OK Emmitt, I went over my recordings too, and Rick’s review of that same day, and know for a FACT that Rick will take trades on his own and NOT REVEIL everything he does, and he’s made that clear many times during in the room. He’s very conservative and will keep it as simple as he can, and tells us that, but does his thing off line, and makes that clear. I would assume that he did take it (if you listened about 3-4 min after the trade) he made it clear that you can comfortably take at a tick or so lower @ 8.75 in this case, which he no doubt did. Some guys did get it at minus a tick as well, as evidenced, per his comments, after the trade. I myself also took it at 8.75. with 1 lot for a .75 pt winner. So if he knows there were winners he’s naturally gonna count it on his reviews. He IS NOT a liar, which I know after scrutinizing the program for a year. I have also seen Rick’s daily account, from time to time, on screen, but only when someone really pushes him to the wall. That won’t happen again, I’m sure. My strong feeling is you own FUTURES TRADING COACH a sincere apology.
Dan, Emmett has already stated that if Rick shows his trading statements proving that he trades then he’ll eat humble pie. Come on Rick. Put up or shut up.
Why dont we just cut to the chase…how about Sam and Rick show their trading records? Why are you so afraid of asking them to prove that they trade?
Dan
How much money have you made with them in last 6 or 12 months?
If so, please just show account statement.
” So if he knows there were winners he’s naturally gonna count it on his reviews. ”
This makes sense to me, and explains the videos.
” I have also told you we have have people (many) that we have helped pass the Top Step Trader combine (off our calls) and I have also told you that I even took one myself to show a group of very small underfunded traders how yes even they could do that. I passed with 15 days out of 16 winners.”
I think Emmett should revisit this review,
Dan Beard. My name is Michael Taylor. Please contact
@ Rob B LOL
@ Dan Beard at 76 years of age you should have accumulated more common sense.
How don’t people understand that posting these comments they are making it all even worse. Only one explanation — they have nothing to show but start spamming…
I was in ricks room for 1 full month. I COULD ABSOLUTELY NOT make any profitability It’s just bogus and too ambiguous to be followed! Rick will constantly say, “GET RISK FREE” when you get into the trade even if it’s only in your favor by a tick. Trust me….IT”S BUNK with the benefit of ambiguous trades followed by his methodical daily recaps!!
“GET RISK FREE” lol….gimme a break!
There is a reason why there is no chart trader trading. (My gosh, they can so easily just place trades in SIM on the chart trader, right?) If he actually CHART TRADED they we would SEE what is REALLY going in.
Case, over a year ago I was in the room for a couple of months. I may have won a trade here and there, but you’re right, it was tough. He does constantly say to get risk free, and you’re only a tick positive. He created a lot of anxiety when you were in a trade. You honestly didn’t know if you were to stay in or get out, and invariably, when you got out, it would run, and if you didn’t and it stopped you out he would would say “I told you to get out.” So in the end, he was covering his ass either way. I also had trades that he called and when I got in and was stopped out, he said were never called. I liked his mostly calm demeanor, and he seemed like a nice guy, but I just could not make money with them.
I’m in a new room this week and so far it’s all green. Great traders with a LIVE DOM! Hopefully their success continues.
which new room is that ?
Emmett,
You are completely insane! I have not only been a member of this trading room for over 50 years but my Granddaddy was also a member when they did it via telegraph. Believe me when I say Rick is the most honest man on the planet. I have known him since he was a baby and he wins 85% or more of the time. Gosh I made over $500K last year alone and have never even had a losing day. Yep I started with a $1000 account and now it is worth millions thanks to his brilliant calls. I cannot imagine what you were smoking when you were in the trading room. I would be happier than a tornado in a trailer park to share my brokerage statements but my stupid dog just ate the statements. Dumb Dog!! But you can trust me. I am a Christian that goes to church every Sunday and I donate 30% of my winnings to charity each week. God Bless Rick for turning me from a homeless deadbeat into a complete success story. And please if someone looks up my house and finds it is a 2BR 1 Bath dump it is just because I like to be humble. Well, I got to go now and drive to the local airport in my Lamborghini and get in my private jet, with Amy from that other trading room, and head off to France for the weekend. Make sure U all join our trading room next week and you too can be flying to France for the weekend.
P.S. Emmett you interested in working out a kickback arrangement
P.P.S Emmett if you are a tough negotiator I can throw in a date with Amy from the other trading room
P.P.P.S Emmett, give me a good review and I know a fed agent who can expunge your record
P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.P.S Please Please Emmett, just 2 stars and those records are sealed
Rob
:))))
couldn’t put it better myself
Can someone please verify that my COMMENT was received. Thank you, Dan Beard
Hi Dan,
Please copy and paste your comment on the correct page. You left your comment on the “Add Listing and Review Request” page.
Thank you,
Emmett
Kevin,
Lets see the brokerage statements – Otherwise you are a liar. and stop posting your BS this is not Investimonials!
This is true about investimonials. Often a site like Jason Bond picks will have 200 reviews with 197 good ones , probably shilled fakes, and 3 honest ones. But then you have to select the filter selection to “show lowest rated first” because by default all the “highest rated” ones are shown on the first page.
Emmett,
Man I do not know how you so calmly put up with these shills, to put it nicely, all saying ” Trust me he has a 80% win rate”. You know how few if any day traders can do a 80% win rate? Well maybe if they are risking 100 ticks to make 2 ticks.
All motherhood statements but they are missing just one little critical ingredient. ACTUAL PROOF!!!!. Can not one of these supposedly member who are knocking it out of the park show some prove of their amazing results? SHOW YOUR BROKERAGE STATEMENTS TO EMMETT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, Emmett ask for the littlest of proof. Show evidence of your claims, then I am sure he will eat crow, but until you do that please stop saying, “JUST TRUST US”!!!! Because guess what, I do not trust you. As Reagan said Trust but Verify.
Like Emmett mentioned I am looking for a mentor who can prove he feeds his family via trading not selling trading education.
Emmett, Let us know if any of these shills (the ‘Dr’, tareq, Kevin, Keith, etc…) Actually send you any proof they win 80% of their trades
Don’t hold your breath, Mike
Thanks for including my comment. I just wanted to add that I’ve been on the phone for combined hours in total with Sam and Rick from half way around the world especially in the beginning weeks for moral support. I needed to hear that yes it was achievable if you were willing to put in the hours and practice discipline. Both guys were always there for however long I needed. I’m sure others will chime in soon. Thanks again.
After being a position (longer-term) trader for 19 years, I decided in 2009 to learn to daytrade. Rather than blow my account out like so many others, I chose to spend my money on education. To this end, I spent somewhere north of $35,000 on scores of courses, manuals, etc. on daytrading. Most were ineffective, yet there were a few I found to be profitable.
I took the Futures Trading Coach free seven-day trial to their live call room. I was struck by two things. First, room moderator Rick went out of his way to take into account the fact that different traders have different needs in terms of trade management. For example, the one- or two-lot trader will manage a winning trade differently than a 10-lot trader. Rick took all this into account when he talked us through live trades. Second, out of 35 live trade calls made by Rick during the seven-day trial, I counted 32 winning trades, 1 losing trade, and 2 breakeven trades. Based on this, I took Sam Goldberg’s one-on-one mentorship program where I learned the entire methodology directly from Sam. Using Sam’s methodology exclusively, my win rate is nearly 80% trading S&P and crude oil.
Wow, that’s awesome Kevin. Glad to read that your win rate is 80%. Hearing from actual customers is awesome. Would love to update my review based upon your performance. Can you please show me redacted brokerage statements? Preferably three months consecutive. Please send to emmett@tradingschools.org.
LOL, I love how you entertain these fakers by taunting them, none of them will provide a REAL statement anyway, it will be some doctored garbage.
Kevin,
Please wake up and smell the baloney. They got you to come here and write a positive review because they cannot prove that they even trade themselves.
Kevin, are you not just a little bit curious if these guy’s even trade? They wont show brokerage statements, they wont show a live DOM, they wont trade from the charts. All Emmett is asking for is that they put a DOM up on the screen to show that they can get those orders filled.
Imagine if you went to a restaurant and the chef handed you the menu. You then ask the chef, what do you like? The chef then responds, “Oh I don’t eat here”, this is a red flag.
If these guys are such winning traders, then make them prove it. Pathetic that they needed you come here and write this garbage.
-G
Sam and Rick are legitimate. Rick calls out trades the method produces, but does not discuss the method. Once you pay the Mentor fee and join the DNA trading room you will watch Sam call trades for the CL, TF and ES with details about the setup, stop, and profit exit with commentary on market conditions. The method is taught over a series of one on one meetings with Sam. He is available anytime after the initial instruction for personal help. Every aspect of trading is discussed. This method and instruction is the best that I have encountered. Pay the mentor fee you will not be disappointed.
Thanks for the comment. I have no problem with customers paying the $7,000 mentor fee, but they should at least verify the trading performance of these guys. Why wont they simply release a brokerage statement that proves that they trade? They expect customers simply trust them on their word and send them a $7,000 fee, yet they cannot even verify the existence of a live trading account?
Mr. Moore,
Your comments about Sam Goldberg and his trading methodology are so OUTLANDISHLY WRONG that I’m going to state some facts from my own experience with Mr. Goldberg that will prove you wrong and you need to admit it. You are doing a great disservice to the many traders who are looking for a robust trading methodology that consistently produces profits by writing such a negative article about Sam Goldberg.
I have been attempting to trade futures for over 10 yrs and I have first hand experience that this business is filled to overflowing with scammers, con artists etc. I have been in a number of trading rooms and also have taken mentorships that were a total joke and waste of my time and money.
I have been in Sam Goldberg’s mentoring program; I have been in his trading room where he teaches his methodology and calls in ADVANCE, CLEARLY and DISTINCTLY the trades he is taking. I too was astounded when I read on his site that he has 80% + winners. But here are the facts – I am in his trading room (not Rick’s room which does not teach the methodology) on a daily basis and I will vouch for the fact that he does have 80% plus winners. I see and hear these results every day!
I state without hesitation that Sam Goldberg’s methodology (which he has been using for over 15 yrs) and trade results are the ABSOLUTE BEST I have ever seen in all my years of searching for the REAL DEAL!
My huge advantage over you in evaluating Sam is that I’m in his room every day seeing the consistent, positive results he produces. So, Mr. Moore, answer just one question – have YOU been in his trading room?? The answer is obviously NO or you would not be making such negative comments about a person who truly is the real deal and has helped me cross the bridge from being a losing trader to a profitable trader. All of your comments have been directed at the “call room” which does not teach Sam’s methodology.
Especially in the trading business, people can make all kinds of claims about how great their methodology is. But there is only one thing that separates all the scammers and junk artists from honest, ethical people like Sam Goldberg and that is he produces positive results that we can see and hear.
In your review you never once made a comment about Sam’s room, what he calls the “DNA Room”. So it’s obvious you were NEVER in that room to do a complete evaluation of his performance. Do yourself and your readers a favor and check out Sam’s room where you can see the methodology in action every day.
One other note – In all my years of searching, I was never in a room that traded crude oil or in a mentorship that taught it. Sam trades crude every day in the room and his results are SUPERB to say the least. As you may or may not know, traders can be eaten alive in crude at $10 a penny, if they don’t have a robust trading methodology. Most other rooms don’t trade it and other mentors don’t teach how to trade it because their methodology is not good enough to produce positive results.
Regards,
Dr. Dave Baker
Hi Dave,
Much appreciate your comment. My only gripe is the lack of transparency. I clearly and undeniably busted Rick reporting trades that never happened. This is undeniable. All I am asking for is proof that these guys even trade. When I purchase a home and I need a mortgage, the banker wants proof that I have a job. When I buy a car and need a loan, the banker wants proof that I have an income.
This really should not be such a big deal. You should speak with Sam directly. I know that you believe in him, with all your heart, please convince him to show me a copy of his redacted brokerage statement. This is so incredibly simple and easy to do. I have other trading rooms where the moderators are willing to fully disclose their personal trading results, but for whatever reason these guys refuse to verify anything whatsoever. They claim 80% winning trades, then lets prove it together. Then I can come back and write a new review explaining that I got this all wrong. Fair enough?
LOOOOL Why do you gurus all try to sound professional? He’s full of shit. I heard this guy talk and he sounds full of shit. This is so blatantly obvious, the lies, that all of them tell that its more insulting that you think we believe it. If you just said, look man, I don’t trade because I’m a little crazy and possibly sociopathic, but, I’ll tell you we win 85% of the time we would hate you less.
When will you fakers get it? It’s easy to write an entire assay without an ounce of proof. The video clearly shows that Rick is a dishonest person and lies about his results, that’s as clear cut as it gets
Emmett,
Trust me when i say it does not take a lot of guts. Its just what it is. We have a stellar reputation, get most of our business from word of mouth because once people see what we do they refer everyone they know to us and there is very few things out there about us in a negative fashion. Its not because we just popped up a month ago and people did not have a chance to write anything because we have been around a long time and they site as been up for a decade. Its because its hard to say anything negative about a winning methodology (yes, we can clearly see above that you found a way). We are real traders and yes, 99.9% of what is out there is garbage, no doubt about that. But for any serious trader that sits in our room for the free trial trial it is VERY clear to them that we are like night and day above the rest. Maybe you have just saw so many negative things out there that you just go into it with blinders on? I would not blame you if you gave way for that possibility. I would even maybe understand it. I will continue to speak with you offline but Tareq is just one of many. We only told a few of our students about this link because otherwise you would be bombarded with comments and it might be so bad you may even think we were making them up. The fact is that any trader reading this website should not take your opinion nor my claim or anyone’s spreadsheet or anything. They should come into the free trial. Either they will like what they see or they wont. Either they will be able to follow along after they get all our setups down and get in sync with how we call the trades or they wont. Our setups are very exact. We take very little heat on many of our trades and yes we do have a high win rate. You and I discussed many reasons why we don’t use a DOM but even if we did by the time someone saw the DOM, figured out the price and entered their order it would be too late. Otherwise i would have to call a trade 3-4 ticks worse on the price and everyone takes a lot more heat on the position before profits start and/or possibly gets stopped out. its simply not necessary for what we do. There is much discussion with your other reviews about rooms with 1 lot and 2 lot and all this stuff. Its simply the wrong approach. It is true that everyone trades different size. its also true that maybe a lot of times the moderator trades larger size than the room members and it may be hard to compare but the trader should only care about a few things. One is if he can follow the calls. The second is are there enough winners to make him/her like what we do and be profitable. They will see that in their own sim results or whatever they are doing. Do a lookup on our website. It is almost 10 years old and Sam has been trading well before he had a site. We do not pack up and hide or change sites or run or anything like that. There is no need for that when you are as good as we are. I have offered you verified results from Collective2. I have also told you we have have people (many) that we have helped pass the Top Step Trader combine (off our calls) and I have also told you that I even took one myself to show a group of very small underfunded traders how yes even they could do that. I passed with 15 days out of 16 winners. None of that was good enough for you. I am not sure how 3rd party verifiable results from very well known companies would not be good enough. The fact is a DOM can only be shown on sim anyway. A Top Step Trader combine is sim also. If we showed a sim DOM that would not accurately display fills on a live account and we all agree you can not trade and/or show a live DOM. The point is that in any call room DOM or not if a trader calls 20-30 trades in a week, sure there may be some that all traders don’t get or some don’t get filled. Its possible for sure. But not getting filled on 5-10% of the trades in a week is much different than getting filled on every one and having half of them or more be losers. I am sure any reader would agree they would rather be filled on 25 or the 30 trades and have 80% of those be winners with very accurate targets rather than get filled on all 30 and have half be losers? Anyway, I’ll cut this off now. I did not even get to commenting on all the other things in your review that I found unfair and offensive. But hey, I understand its the internet. To all the traders out there that have been either bleeding for years trying to be successful or the new guys I can only say come in and see for yourself what we do and if you don’t like it then by all means try to find something else you may like better. We think you will like our approach and how we handle ourselves in the markets.
Well hold on a minute. The video that I posted clearly showed a trade that never happened, yet you claimed it as part of your “official record”. We cannot deny this. But what you also fail to realize is that I have more than just one “mystery trade” that was posted on YouTube. I have a lot of “mystery trades”. I can make a movie. I have that much footage. A lot of footage and the majority of your trades are either borderline or outright fake. You cannot lie about the video because the video is very clear. Its clear evidence that supports my claim. I would be more than happy to produce another video, where I pick apart your track record. Trade by trade. Its easy! I do this all day long.
Because of the video, in which I caught you clearly cheating, I am simply asking that you use a simulated DOM to substantiate your trading approach. I am not looking to make lifelong enemies, I am simply trying to bring transparency to this industry.
If you will not show a simulated trading DOM, then simply show 3 months of redacted statements. In a private viewing that will not be published. But I can at least go back to my audience and say that you are a trader. Right now, I just have a bunch of video that contradicts the “official track record”.
Once again, I am looking for reconciliation and some sort of proof. Yes, you are offering a passed combine at TopStep, and I really like that. But its just short of the goal line.
In the next few weeks, I will be releasing several reviews of traders that submitted to me actual account statements, as well as trade with a DOM on the screen. Live day trading, real results with real money on the line, guys that get onto the field and really play the game. Guys that feed their families with real trading profits. This is what my audience wants to see. I hope to draft a new review that shows you are at least willing to show a simulated DOM, its the very least. And its not such a big deal.
Publish your live trading account for the last 6 months to prove that you trade your magical system. If you do not then you are another snake oil salesman trying to suck people in.
Rick
I spoke to both you and Sam extensively on Skype, then signed up. In your own trading there was a lot of narrative but no long term results ever kept or published. Yo have not a clue as to whether you are winning or losing from month to month. Sam even less. Never showed any statements or anything.
One day Sam called a trade ( limit order, as he does), the price came to one tick before the entry, then went the right way and made great profit. But it never touched the entry . To my disbelief, Sam kept shouting ” Take the profit! Take the profit!” For all my $ 5000 and further monthly fee I paid I didn’t DARE challenge him and say “Sam this is scum, price never touched the entry before going the right way”. I just left. My my money stayed behind. I blocked both your and Sams’s contacts on my Skype since.
Sam knows very well why he does not allow the chat to be visible for members and why he behaves like God All Mighty so no one will challenge him n the room. I am glad Emmett did.
Am glad that you left this comment. These guys are a couple of bozo’s.
Really, really sorry to read that they scammed you.
All I can tell you is sign up for Sam’s 7 day free trial. Spend those seven days with Rick and watch him trade the morning session. Decide for yourself. These guys teach you 5 setups that are working in the market at close to an 80% percent success rate right now. More importantly they teach you trade management. You can figure almost all of this out in the free trial. Rick is a master trader period. Sam makes his living off of the CL. Just see for yourself. I’m not saying trade management and setups are all that you need to make a decent living but it’s at least 2/3rds of the package. Just see for yourself, you have nothing to lose. To the reviewer: can you pointy us in the direction of something you approve of?
Thanks and respect to all
Hi Tareq,
Have been on the phone with Rick and emailing back and forth. I am trying to get more transparency, openness, and more accurate performance disclosure. I have to give Rick a lot of credit for getting on the phone and calling me. Scammers never call me, they fold up the tent, change names and become yet another Ninja Trader Educational Provider. Rick seems damn determined to set the record straight. Hopefully I can get a follow up post out that highlights the positive changes.
I am not always right with these reviews. Perhaps I got these guys wrong. Hopefully I can bring transparency to the situation.
Stay Tuned,
Emmett
Tareq,
I had to comment. You make statements yet show no proof. Many of these trade rooms offer members a free month or two if they post positive reviews. Not saying you are such a person or that you are affiliated with the room, but you say they have an 80% win rate and yet you show no proof. Emmett’s video showed clear evidence of what is really going on and I have seen similar tactics in trading rooms that I tried in the past. I was dumb enough to fall for the trust me have blind faith scams in the past. Most of these room operators are a master of deception including writing positive reviews at investopia and other sites. They get people to join, then after a few months the members realize there trading is all smoke and mirrors and leave after losing months of memberships and suffering losses.
Emmett is the first one with the Chutzpah to take this industry on. Going through reviewing all these rooms and putting up with the defenders of the rooms who show no evidence is a thankless task for sure. I can imagine the nasty emails he must get.
The funny part, as I have stated elsewhere is I think the proof Emmett ask for is the absolute minimum one should look for yet these rooms cannot even met that requirement. You ever look at mutual fund rating where they must show returns from 1 month through the life of the mutual fund.
Lastly Tareq I would ask what is it you think is unreasonable
1) To ask the trader to actual show his trades as opposed to making a bunch of hindsight calls?
2) To ask the trader to accurately report his trades?
3) If he does not do any of that to show brokerage statement that he actually can trade profitably?
Hey emmet, have you seen TradeZero.co, a broker that doesn’t charges fees for limit orders. Is based and registered on Bahamas so no PDT rule, and they said that the clearing firm is Vision Financial Markets. Looks interesting, but i wanted to ask you if you know about them or if you can research if its legit, because it would be a good alternative to Suretrader.
TradeZero.com, its a very interesting proposition. Have been looking and digging. What they are trying to do is capture the rebate for being a liquidity provider. This appears to be their main objective. On the surface it looks great, they are the first in the space. It almost looks too good to be true. Need more time to research.
Just need to verify the safety of customer deposits. What systems are in place and the custody chain of client accounts. Also verify the relationship with Vision, which will require a call to Vision.
The only red flag is that they are based in the Bahamas, but cannot accept accounts from Bahamian citizens. Seems odd.
Emmett, I love your site. But as a full time futures trader, I’d like to add a couple of points that might help others who are new to trading. Trading is a Business. You buy inventory, you sell inventory. If the inventory isn’t selling, you get rid of it and buy something better to sell. And . . . I can’t stress this enough. You have to have a plan — a Business Plan. Details, details details (sounds like a lawyer). But it’ true. How much time will you put in? How much money will you commit? How much will you allow yourself to lose before you change strategies? Day trade, swing trade, scalp? What markets will you trade and do you know the intricacies, reports, tendencies of those markets? There are lots of other questions to be answered if you are going into business. If you just want someone to hand you trades, you are setting yourself up for these scammers. Ask yourself why would they share their secrets to millions? Why did they take that trade? Did they show how they got there? If they have “magic” indicators, run away. There are no magic indicators. Otherwise Goldman Sachs and the other big algo boys would already have them. Sorry to get on the soapbox, but I spent a lot of time getting to where I am now and hopefully I can offer a couple of tips to help newer traders. Again, great work by you. I hope more people find this site and pay attention to the good deeds you are doing.
Thanks for the comment, hope to read more about your real world trading experiences.
Three years ago I got the CFTC to shut down a trading room called ezprotrading.com. A couple months later Mark Katzenberger (we never know this is the con’s real name) opened shop under superscalptrading.com and scheduled a webinar through Ninja’s Educational Partners. I alerted NinjaTrader and spoke with Ryan via skype and provided all the proof of fraud, which had been verified and resulted in action by the CFTC. Still the con vendor was allowed to proceed with the webinar.
I thought back then that the most effective way to deal a blow on this deceptive industry is a class action lawsuit naming the “Partner” that feeds customers to these scams as the main defendant. A condemnation should require that “Partners” be obligated to enter their trade calls on a demo DOM (or chart). If it’s not on the DOM, can’t claim those trades.
Thanks to my presence in that SuperScalpTrading webinar, it was a fiasco. I posted realtime that it was a scam recently shutdown by the CFTC and the participants went wild on the chat board. That trading room never took off. Mark is probably out there under a different name being scrutinized and reviewed by Emmett!

Wow, I read that thread. You got him cold. Regarding Ninja, its amazing that they get away with this stuff. Not sure if you are aware, but I record a massive amount of video of trading rooms, and towards the end of many of these trading rooms presentations a broker from Ninja will jump on and start pumping the brokerage service.
The brokers at Ninja troll through the trading rooms and attend the rooms with bigger audiences. This creates a situation where the attendee is given the impression, “If a broker from Ninja is here, then they must be good!”. Ridiculous conflict of interest.
SCAM after SCAM after SCAM after SCAM…………..
this is the most dishonest industry in the world
Emmett,
I am starting to think you started doing reviews of the most dishonest industry in the world in order to make you background look like that of an upstanding citizen. LOL.
Pretty much every trade room I have ever been to is just as you describe; all smoke and mirrors.
This has to be the worst regulated industry out there. I guess the regulators just feel day traders are evil and who cares if they are ripped off.
Terribly difficult industry to regulate. As you might be noticing, after I post a lot of these reviews…the scammers take their website down. Then they pop up a few weeks later as yet another “Ninja Trader Educational Provider” but with new names, etc.
A lot of them use fake names, are located all over the world and so the regulators have a difficult time touching them. Its a terribly messy industry.
The root of most of the futures trading fraud can be traced right back to Ninja Trader.
Emmett,
What do you mean when you say most futures trading fraud can be traced back to Ninja Trader? Is Ninja Trader not a good company to work with for trading futures?
Ninja Trader aggresively pushed and promoted the Ninja Trader Educational Ecosystem, which is a sewer of rampant fraud. Let me explain…
Several years ago, Ninja Trader was released, instead of allowing the platform to grow organically, they opted to give the platform away for free. As people downloaded the platform, they opted in their email addresses and contact information. As that list grew, Ninja Trader then began to offer educational providers free webinars from their rapidly growing list. In exchange, the educational provider gave implicit and explicit support to Ninja trader. Ever notice how all of the education providers have Ninja Trader all over their websites? The vast majority of the educational providers at Ninja trader are complete and total frauds. Ninja Trader knows this, but they dont care.
All Ninja trader cares about is getting users to adopt their platform, and the vast majority then open trading accounts with Ninja Broker. Its a terrible conflict of interest where Ninja trader is helping to spread the usage of its platform through the use of fraud.
Is Ninja trading platform really so special? No. The only people that get much use are those that can program in C+, which is basically nobody. Other platforms are far better at empowering beginning traders to make better decisions.
To make matters worse, Ninja trader has closed off broker access so that any broker with a lower commission rate than Ninja broker cannot plug their brokerage services into Ninja trader. Its anti-competitive.
platform reviews would be cool
Definitely. Have been wanting to do this for quite some time.
In particular, which platform is the easiest to create and test trading strategies. So much of the BS of this industry would quickly fade if people starting using their heads and stopped wasting money on trading indicators and trading guru’s that refuse to verify if they trade. Its just insane to me that people send thousands of dollars to internet personalities that have no verifiable trading record.
Excellent points Emmett, especially about Ninja. When you do your platform review, one thing to remember is what I tell everyone who asks me “is platform XXX good to use?” I say that EVERY platform can be tricked into giving fantastic backtest results, and whatever platform you use, you must learn it well enough to uncover those tricks. It is relatively easy to fool any platform. It is also possible to get very realistic results. One has to learn the platform well enough to know the difference… Looking forward to your future reviews!
so you are saying I am not getting a burnt orange Lamborghini?
Emmett,
Ninja Trader is gold compared to the metatrader platform. If anyone wants to read about the worst platform out there just google metatrader. Especially how it allows the brokers to rip off customers trading the forex market.
I doubt NT drop 3rd party support on the life license.. don’t know, dont care really.
I noticed the same, with NT everywhere with educators, but didn’t put two and two together… good work!
This should definitely be in it’s own review!
Good read as always.
Cheers
Ninjatrader is actually nice to use. However, I see your point about their “ecosystem” and emails. It seems like five years ago they started doing this vendor partner promotion. As a result, NT8 has been delayed for years. The Ninjatrader DOM still shows no trade volume and number of orders at price while other platforms with dom’s already show this feature by default.
douche baggery – LoL
Fantasy trades – I did not know the proper term for this Thanks- Now I do.
These guys are masters at fantasy trade calls. I used to watch Marcello Arrambide
of the Day Trading Academy at any point in a training session he would have
multiple reasons to go long or short at any time.
Then after the move he would label it as either a Legacy trade- an advanced trade
or a pro trade. It is a beautiful system he uses he is never wrong. And many folks never caught on..
Itsa mean pony tail boy Marcello? Why you say these things Mr. Ray? hahahahaha
I think about all the time and energy that gets poured into putting together a con like this and going through with it. Wouldn’t it be easier to learn how to trade and offer a legitimate service? Maybe that would just be too much work. Thanks for the review, Emmett – I hope these guys get shut down after this.
P.P.P.S. Their trading videos are a joke!
